OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2010. Transaero Airlines announces the start of operations from Moscow Domodedovo International Airport to the cities of Rostov-on-Don, Donetsk and Riga. The service will be launched this fall with Boeing 737-500 aircraft operated on these routes. Each jetliner has a three-class layout, including Business, Premium Economy and Tourist Economy, providing access to transportation to a large number of people.

Flights to Rostov-on-Don will be operated five times a week and will become Transaero’s 28th route within its domestic flight network. The start of operations to one of the largest cities in the country’s South region is expected to strengthen the carrier’s position in the domestic market and attract new passengers to both direct and transfer flights.

Donetsk will be the Company’s 4th destination in Ukraine and 14th in the CIS. Daily flights will allow the carrier to offer convenient transportation between eastern Ukraine and Moscow, and a number of Russian and foreign cities.

Riga will be the first destination within Transaero’s Baltic route network. Flights to the Latvian capital will initially be operated twice a week.

Tickets are already on sale.

The launch of new flights demonstrates the Company's commitment to its route network expansion program, which includes routes in Russia and abroad.
