OREANDA-NEWS. April 6, 2011. Steel pipe and railway wheel company Interpipe has finished the recruitment of specialists responsible for the next stage of the implementation of the Continuous Improvement System of the Company’s production assets. The recruitment process consisted of several stages including testing, group practice and individual interviews.

Before entering their new roles within Interpipe, the specialists – who will be responsible for production optimization – will undergo complex training that includes learning about Interpipe’s Continuous Improvement System as well as learning about the operation of specific system instruments. Interpipe’s new Continuous Improvement System specialists will also learn how to make calculations of the technical limits of the equipment and will receive experience in solving real business cases.

Frank Rittner, Director of Strategy and Business Development at Interpipe said: ‘The main and final factor in choosing specialists was examining their potential to be a “change agent”. First of all a “change agent” is an employee that by his example, knowledge and communication abilities encourages other employees to seek constant improvement at the workplace. In future we plan further development of the system and additional recruitment of specialists for Interpipe’s Continuous Improvement System.’
