OREANDA-NEWS. December 8, 2011. The delegation of Brest region headed by the governor K.A.Sumar took part in a forum which was held in Milan, an economic capital of Italy, on November, 25th. "Brest" FEZ Administration and company "ITALCONSULT" with assistance of Brest Executive Regional Committee and Embassy of Belarus in the Italian Republic were the direct organizers and co-ordinators of the given action. This economic forum which has become our first presentation in Italy, was initiated with the aim of realisation of Belarusian-Italian agreements fixed in the Memorandum of mutual understanding concerning creation of Italian industrial district on the "Brest" FEZ territory, signed in June in Rome and Trieste by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Martynov S.N. and the Minister of Economic Development of the Italian Republic P.Romani. 

At a plenary session of the forum which was to acquaint the audience with the investment potential of Brest region in the whole and the free economic zone in particular, spoke the governor K.A.Sumar, the representative of the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy Paola Brunetti, the ambassador E.A.Shestakov, CEO of "Brest" FEZ administration V.I.Nevdah, the commercial director of "Italconsult" Adriano Pea and others.

All the presentations, including video advertisements of Brest region and the free economic zone, visually demonstrated the Italian businessmen the possibilities for business cooperation offered by the region. By the way, the number of businessmen, and them was nearly 70, was even more than expected. And it has confirmed that interest of the Italian representatives of business in creation of an Italian industrial district on the "Brest" FEZ territory does not simply exists - it is rather high.

Moreover, the negotiations between the head of the "Brest" FEZ administration V.I.Neudakh and representatives of the Italian companies during a contact-cooperation bourse allowed to hope, that shortly there will be new enterprises from Italy in the “Brest” FEZ.
