OREANDA-NEWS.  February 22, 2012. National postal operator Azerpocht has received an order from the Paramilitary Guard Department of the Ministry of Communications & IT of Azerbaijan on the issue of payment cards.

The MCIT informs that Azerpocht issues 400 plastic cards for the Department.

Azerpocht is also negotiating about transfer to non-cash settlement system of labour payment at the Center for International Relations & Mutual Settlements and other enterprises.

Several days ago the postal operator started issuing cards MasterCard to be given to employees of the postal, communications and other enterprises.

This year Azerpocht plans to issue 5,000-10,000 cards and increase their issue as demand for them grows. Azerpocht non-cash transactions will be served by processing center Millikart.

Operator’s long-term plans include bringing of transaction volume up to 5 million a year via the postal financial network and issue up to 100,000 pay cards. Azerpocht intends to open 500,000 customer accounts for the next 3 years.
