OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2012. From 22 May 2012, passengers will be able to buy tickets for trains to Finland using self-service terminals, where they can also print out their tickets after paying for their order online.

Since 1 June 2011, passengers have been able to book and pay for tickets on the high-speed Allegro trains through our website. The Allegro operates between St. Petersburg and the Finnish capital Helsinki. Also available online since 1 June 2011 are bookings and payments for tickets on train number 32, the Leo Tolstoy Moscow – Helsinki service operated by Federal Passenger Company, a subsidiary of Russian Railways. Previously, tickets ordered online had to be printed out at the international ticket office, but from now on this can be done at the self-service terminals.

Russian Railways and Federal Passenger Company are now working to introduce e-registration on trains to Finland.

On the introduction of the service, passengers will be able to board their train without printing the ticket on the international ticket form - it will be sufficient to present the identity document given when making the online booking and the boarding pass of the electronic ticket.

Russian Railways and Federal Passenger Company will make a separate announcement when electronic registration on services to Finland will be introduced.
