OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2012. On November 8, representatives of Norway’s RKK - Rogaland Training & Education Centre and Statoil visited the Human Resources Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and met with the officials of the department.

Head of the Human Resources Department Asif Bakirli welcomed the participants of the meeting and informed the guests about the SOCAR’s way of development, as well as education and scholarship programs carried out by the company. Mr Asif Bakirli said the development of relations with Norway in the field of education caused much interest. RKK senior project manager Rune Thorsen and the representative of the RKK Kazakhstan office, as well as Statoil representative in our country Shahpour Sotoudehmanesh thanked for the meeting.

Touching the importance of the high-level development of education system for socio-economic progress, the guests also emphasized the necessity of personnel training in the field of professional education. They noted that their centre organizes training courses for the oil and gas industry workers, as well as creates opportunity for various training programs at discretion. Then the issues causing interest of the guests and prospects of the mutual relations were discussed at the meeting.
