OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2013. Chairman of the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine Mykola Kovynia at a Cabinet meeting held a briefing on "Status and prospects of the system of protection of intellectual property rights in Ukraine."

Mykola Kovynia told about the main priorities of the State Service. According to him, the current trend is still the activity to counter the illegal distribution objects of intellectual property (IP) on tangible media.

The Chairman of the State Service told the journalists on the results of the work of inspectors for the year 2012. According to him, the results of checks 96 protocols on administrative offenses sent to the court. The offenders are seized 26.5 million copies of pirated products. In addition, state inspectors conducted more than 100 meetings and workshops, reviewed dozens of appeals and requests of representatives of the executive authorities, members of different levels of legal entities and individuals.
