OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2013. According to the results of the transparency rating of the Russian fuel and energy sector companies in April 2013 TATNEFT ranked No.1 in the TOP 10 list of the largest oil and gas industry companies with the highest level of the information transparency.

The high assessment of the information transparency level is the result of extensive work of the Company's staff: environmentalists, scientists, production personnel and professionals in the field of information and communication policy.

The rating of the Company's transparency in April of this year was affected by participation of the Company's professionals in the X-th International practical crude oil artificial lift conference "Technologies and efficient production - a way to results achievement". The display exhibits of TATNEFT presented innovative engineering developments used in the framework of a large-scale effort to ensure environmental safety in the crude oil production, as well as advanced technologies in the development of hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves.

To determine the transparency rating of the Russian fuel and energy sector companies the Agency for Political and Economic Communications (APEC) had performed a survey with involvement of 25 renowned experts: economists, political scientists, analysts and journalists. The evaluation had been performed for 75 largest companies representing nuclear power, gas, oil and coal mining industries, as well as transportation of crude oil and petroleum products and electricity.

Each expert assessed the information transparency level of the companies with subsequent determination of the arithmetic means of the experts' assessments (grade point average).
