OREANDA-NEWS.  May 13, 2013. In April, 2013 the passenger traffic in Chisinau Airport International made up 83694 people, 2.4% down as compared with April, 2012 – 85734 people.

According to officials of the airport, in April, 2013 the most popular destinations were Moscow (30.13%), Istanbul (14.83%), Munich (8.16%), Verona (6.52%), Vienna (5.23%) and Bucharest (5.17%). The greatest growth of the traffic fell to the following destinations: Vienna (28.27%), Munich (27.64%), Rome (9.6%), Istanbul (5.69%), Bucharest (3.58%) and Verona (3.24%).

The Chisinau Airport International is the main air gateway of Moldova from which 19 companies are transporting passengers in 30 directions all over the world. It partners with 15 overseas companies and 4 national carriers. Chisinau International Airport served 1 million 220 thousand 496 passengers in 2012, that is 16.67% more than in 2011 and a record-breaking indicator ever recorded in the company.
