OREANDA-NEWS. TVEL Fuel Company and OJSC “PO “Elektrokhimichesky zavod” (member of the business control loop of the Fuel Company of Rosatom TVEL) visited the 10th China International Exhibition on Nuclear Power Industry, as a part of the delegation of the united booth of Rosatom State Corporation.

From May 23 to 25th, the Shanghai International Convention & Exhibition Center (Shanghai, China) hosted the 10th China International Exhibition on Nuclear Power Industry.

The opening ceremony was visited by the President of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) Zhang Huazhu, the Deputy Director of the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA) Liu Hua, and others.

During the exhibition, the delegates from OJSC “PO “Elektrokhimichesky zavod” managed to hold some negotiations with their prospective partners. In particular, negotiations were held with BASSETI China, a French consulting company, to discuss the possibility of carrying out an isotope product market research in China, including assessment of market size, potential and trends, and also to find new Chinese companies interested in buying isotopes produced in Russia. During the talks with Shengzhen Isotope Industrial International Co., Ltd, a Chinese company, the negotiators discussed the possibility and conditions of new supplies of isotope products to China. A preliminary order was received for several new isotopes that could be used for the research, industrial and medical purposes.

The Deputy Director General for Commerce of OJSC “PO “Elektrokhimichesky zavod” Nikolai Borisov said that the goal of their participation in the exhibition, which was promoting isotope products and increasing sales in the promising market of China with its developing industry, had been achieved. “We have made one more step to develop the Asian region,” noted N. Borisov.

The united booth of Rosatom State Corporation displayed information about orders received under international nuclear power plant construction projects and about the geographical presence in more than 40 countries on the five continents, and also offered materials describing educational opportunities available to foreign students in Russia. Special focus in the exposition was put on the capabilities of Rosatom State Corporation as the only company in the global market with a complex offer for newcomer countries, embracing a full range of services at all stages of nuclear fuel cycle.
