Blagoveshchensk Valve Plant Implements New Investment Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. Blagoveshchensk Valve Plant (OJSC BVP, Blagoveschensk, Bashkortostan; a part of the United Metallurgical Company, CJSC OMK) started implementing new investment projects. They include purchase, installation and launching of new equipment and are intended to improve the production process, increase the quality of and widen the product range.
The plant will be equipped with four new turning and drilling-and-milling NC machines. The quality of wedge gate valves of large dimensions manufactured at the plant will increase due to advanced metalworking technologies implemented. The plant will be equipped with new test stands which will enable receiving more precise results of the differential pressure test. The equipment installation is planned to be finished in the early 4th quarter of 2013.
Implementation of the second project will enable increasing the number of body frames of 600-40, 700-16 and 800-16 wedge gate valves of large dimensions produced at the plant. A new removable flask molding line will be installed, and an electric arc furnace with the capacity of 4 tons of liquid steel will be launched. The arc will satisfy the demand of a new line in steel. Within this investment project, one more turning NC machine will be installed at the plant. Quality acceptance tests will be conducted at a new test stand for ZKL and KOP products DN 50-250 featuring up to 40 MPa pressure. The stand has an option to test products both in the horizontal and vertical planes. New equipment is planned to be launched in the 1st quarter of 2015. Besides, new storing facilities will be constructed at the plant.
Igor Voronin, Managing Director at BVP, said, "Launch of the new equipment will allow the Blagoveshchensk Valve Plant to increase the volumes of pipeline fitting delivered, quality of products manufactured, widen the sales market and strengthen its leading positions in markets in the future. The total volume of funds allocated to implement the plant's investment program for 2013-2014 will exceed 600 mln rubles."
