OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2013. The first vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov has instructed to resume the work of the Regional interdepartmental anti-raider commissions in the composition of local bodies of executive power.

Such an indication was given by him to heads of all the relevant ministries and heads of other central and local executive authorities as a result of the sitting of the interdepartmental commission on the protection of investors, combating the illegal takeover and acquisition of enterprises.

The first vice Prime Minister also has commissioned them to prepare their proposals for the development of the state anti-raider program.

Separately, Mr. Arbuzov has instructed Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko to take under personal control the investigation of relevant criminal cases on the issues, which are discussed at the meetings of the commission. He also instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice together with the Prosecutor General's Office to discuss changes in legislation on combating raiders.

The first vice premier instructed to report on the results of the work at the next meeting of the interdepartmental commission. "I ask you to inform me personally about the processing of complaints addressed to the commission, and about detection of criminal schemes weekly. It is necessary to examine in detail each specific case and give it a legal assessment in accordance with the law," he said.

During the sitting, Sergei Arbuzov noted the need to improve the legislation of Ukraine and its harmonization in accordance with the requirements of the European Union too: "As of today, it is proposed to define in the legislation the concept of "raiding" and establish an adequate criminal responsibility for these crimes and assistance to a crime."

He also proposed members of the commission to prepare a draft law "On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine" on the establishment of responsibility for actions, which may result in the illegal takeover and acquisition of enterprises.
