OREANDA-NEWS. The Council of BVP Young Metallurgists has been established at Blagoveschensk Valve Plant (JSC BVP, Bashkortostan, a part of United Metallurgical Company).

This youth organization will be comprised of the company's most active employees. The council's objective is to assist in the professional and personal growth of the plant's young employees. The council will offer a wide range of programs. It will provide consultations to young personnel, and will create and support arts and cultural initiatives, athletic events, and charitable enterprises. The council will also offer assistance to the plant's former employees and large families, as well as actively participate in educational programs. The Council of Young Metallurgists has an active and effective player in the United Metallurgical Company's various enterprises for many years now.

Establishing the professional organization at BVP was precipitated by a conference held with the support of the Council of Young Metallurgists of Trubodetal Plant (Chelyabinsk, a part of OMK). BVP Managing Director Alexander Kozhevnikov participated in the event; he expressed his support for the council's positive initiatives and formally approved documents that regulate the council's work.

At present, employee applications for membership in the council are being accepted, and the council's 2014 plan of action and activity roster is being developed. Any employee at the plant under the age of 35 may join the council.

BVP Managing Director Alexander Kozhevnikov praised the council's formation: “Young specialists are a vital force which significantly enables Blagoveschensk Valve Plant to move forward. It is they who offer the majority of proposals aimed at improving the plant's production and public activities. The Council of Young Metallurgists represents a new team of leaders who will actively participate in implementation of the company's plans.”
