OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines and Life Line Fund have joined forces to launch a unique charity project called “Flight of Dream”.

The key objective of the project is raising donations for children suffering from life-threatening heart, brain and spine diseases.

As part of the project, a Transaero Boeing 747 will be painted with palm-prints of famous people. Flights operated on this plane will raise money for the charity, with every passenger of the Flight of Dream able to donate money by leaving it in a special envelope placed in the back of every seat.

The Boeing 747 operating the Flight of Dream will fly to the Russian Far East, the US as well as to Transaero's key business and elite leisure destinations. The first Flight of Dream is scheduled for mid November 2013.

The project was launched by Transaero CEO Olga Pleshakova and President of the Life Line Fund Faina Zakharova, as well as by prominent artists Vladimir Dubossarsky and Alexander Vinogradov.

“For several years Transaero Airlines has been implementing social programmes aimed at helping seriously ill children. The Flight of Dream project strives to attract our passengers' attention to saving children's lives. All money raised will be transferred to the Life Line Fund in order to finance surgeries for children in need”, said Olga Pleshakova, CEO of Transaero Airlines.

“The Flight of Dream will take the shape of a Transaero Boeing 747 - the biggest jet in the fleet of Russian airlines. The point of painting palm-prints on the aircraft is very simple - it symbolises the helping hands of the people who left these palm-prints and strove to help children that need it”, commented Faina Zakharova.

The idea of a fuselage painting customised with a special “Kind hands” action was developed by prominent artists Vladimir Dubossarsky and Alexander Vinogradov.

During the presentation of the Flight of Dream project the action “Kind hands of the people of Earth” took place, involving special guests. They left their palm-prints on the Boeing 747 model (1:50 scale). The first palm-print belonged to Transaero Airlines CEO Olga Pleshakova. The action was supported by prominent people involved in lending intensive help to the children. The model will become a draft of the fuselage painting of Boeing 747 performing the Flight of Dream.
