OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2013. The most important factor in the development of scientific and technological potential of Ukraine is to ensure the proper level of scientific objects that form material and technical basis of national science and are public domain.

In order to maintain and ensure the proper functioning of unique scientific objects that can not be reproduced, loss or destruction of which would negatively affect the development of science and society the State Register of scientific objects of national asset introduced in Ukraine (hereinafter - the State Register).

With the adoption of the Regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 650 on August 28, 2013, developed by the State Agency on Science, Innovations and Informatization of Ukraine, the Government expanded the State register of scientific objects of national asset, and now it consists of 127 objects, which have a unique value and are integral part of Ukrainian and world scientific and cultural heritage.

In particular, library holding of Central Scientific Library of Karazin Kharkiv National University entered to the list of scientific objects of national asset. Founded in 1804, science library holding has over 3 million 300 thousand copies, including a unique fund of rare books and manuscripts (up to 1825) - 50 thousand copies.

The list of objects that have the status of national heritage (asset) also includes Test center of the Institute of Semiconductors and Physics named Lashkaryov.

State Register of scientific achievements includes the heliocenter of the Institute for Problems in Materials.

Expanding of the list of scientific objects of national asset indicates about Government's attention to the development of science.
