OREANDA-NEWS. OMK-Uchastie charity fund held a New Year's charity event at the Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. The main guests were over 600 boys and girls from Moscow (and nearby regions), Nizhny Novgorod, Tula, students from the Vyksa-based Pelican Social Rehabilitation Center for Children, children under the care of the Krasnaya Zvezda Fund (which supports children of deceased service members), orphans from the Moscow-based Vozrozhdeniye Center (as well as the center from the Tula region), and patients of the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology (N.N. Blokhin Center for Oncology Research). Guests also included foster families, families with many children, and families bringing up disabled children. The event was visited by OMK management and employees from the company's Moscow office, as well as by their family members and friends. Along with the fund itself, they were the charitable givers of the event. They bought tickets both for themselves and for the children from schools and orphanages. In total, OMK-Uchastie gathered 2,000 people at the circus.

The guests were welcomed by a brass band of musicians dressed as Fathers Frost, as well as entertainers, face painters, lively leaders of exciting workshops, and volunteers (OMK employees and the fund's friends). The event's program was titled “Planet of Kindness.” In the circus' lobby, each child could stick paper stars, with their most important kind deeds of the outgoing year written on them, on a special board. Hundreds of symbols of kindness decorated the circus that day. They reminded everyone of those who really need support nowadays.

The event was lively, loud and joyful. The children ate ice cream and drank soft drinks. Each child received a present. However, the key present for all visitors was a new performance from the oldest circus of Moscow - The Fir Tree of Wishes.

“This event at the circus is the eleventh arranged by OMK. We are overjoyed to see the happy faces of children who will take away not only wonderful impressions and New Year's presents from the circus, but also the magical atmosphere of the holiday which will stay with them throughout the whole year,” said Chairman of the Guardian Council, Irina Sedykh.
