OREANDA-NEWSRenault will suspend car production from March 30 to April 5 at its plant in Moscow in connection with a presidential decree announcing a non-working week in the country, an official company spokesman told the Russian media.

"In accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation and the implementation of measures to ensure the health of workers, the Renault Moscow plant suspends car production from March 30 to April 5. Employees of Renault Russia offices also stop working during this period", he added. At the same time, the company clarified that these days are considered paid holidays for employees.

For the same reason, Hyundai, Nissan, Sollers, Kaliningrad Avtotor, GAZ Group, KamAZ and AvtoVAZ have already announced the suspension of car production. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree declaring the country weekless from March 30 to April 3.
