OREANDA-NEWS By April 1, the Russian government will submit proposals for the construction of a new city on the western coast of Crimea, said the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov. According to him, 50 thousand people will be able to settle in the new city, writes TASS.

«There is an ambitious task associated with the construction of a new city for 50 thousand people. We are preparing proposals to tighten the infrastructure. There are two options — one on the west coast in the Saki district and in the Simferopol district near the village of Nikolaevka. We are literally discussing, proposals will be submitted to the government of the Russian Federation by April 1», Aksenov said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that at the moment Russian business structures in Crimea should not be afraid of sanctions measures from the West. He invited large companies, including banks, to work on the peninsula.

Putin also proposed extending the state program for the development of Crimea and Sevastopol until 2027, and in the future — until 2030. The President also urged not to reduce the amount of funding for the program of creating a comfortable urban environment in these subjects of the Russian Federation.
