OREANDA-NEWS  The Volgograd Region authorities said they had restricted the operation of mobile Internet in the region for the sake of security. This is reported by V1.ru with reference to the statement of representatives of the Information Technology Committee of the Volgograd region.

"As in other regions of Russia, there may be interruptions in the operation of the mobile Internet in the Volgograd region. These measures are related to issues of ensuring comprehensive security, while they are temporary in nature and, as a rule, relate to individual territories," representatives of the committee explained the need for disconnection.

Officials also called on residents of the region to understand such measures.

In mid-June, residents of almost a third of Russia's regions complained about problems with the mobile Internet. Most of the requests came from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Temporary outages of mobile Internet in the country began before Victory Day. On the night of May 7, it was reported that due to the threat of drones, it was restricted in more than 30 Russian regions.
