OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has become a partner of the annual Museum Night that will be held in Moscow on 21 May. Tele2 subscribers will be able to pass online registration and visit popular Moscow museums not waiting in line.

Tele2 opened online registration for participants in Museum Night at tele2museumnight.ru on 19 May. Subscribers who filled in e-applications will be able to visit without lines the State Tretyakov Gallery in Lavrushinskiy Pereulok and at Krymskiy Val, the Darvin Museum and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. There will be Tele2’s coffee stalls near the entrance to museums where the operator’s subscribers will be served hot beverages.

In order to get fast from one venue to another, visitors may use Tele2 free-toll buses that will move along the Garden Ring internal side from 6 pm to midnight. Their route will connect 8 stops within a walking distance from 40 museums.

Five information centres will be located at Teatralnaya Ploshchad, Muzeon Arts Park, Hermitage Park, Triumfalnaya Ploshchad and Ulitsa Volkhonka near the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Consultants will help guests choose most interesting events and get the Tele2 map – a pocket guide for the main museum itineraries. Besides, there will be Tele2 employees working at information centres – they will explain how to connect to the operator via his online shop.

This weekend the Museum Night will be held for the tenth year in a row. The event is gaining popularity among Muscovites. Traditionally over 200 museums, galleries, arts schools and arts centres will welcome visitors for free and remain open from 6 pm until the early hours. This year proceedings will be dedicated to cinema – in a nod to the 2016 Year of Cinema in Russia. The project has been imitated and organized by the Department of Culture of Moscow. More information about the project at mos.ru/museumnight2016. The application named Meanwhile will help users find out how crowded museum venues are.
