OREANDA-NEWS. The American company Facebook asked the Russian court to extend the payment period for the imposed fine of 26 million rubles due to "technical problems." This was reported to "Lenta.ru" in the press service of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow.

“Facebook Inc On September 27, 2021, on the last day of the deadline for the voluntary payment of fines in a total of 26 million rubles, assigned by the judges of the magistrate of the judicial district No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow, filed an application for a deferral of the execution of the judgments, citing technical problems in translation funds to pay off administrative fines, ”said a spokesman for the court.

It is noted that the company's application will be considered on Wednesday, September 29.

The press service added that they will also consider complaints against the ruling of the Tagansky District Court against Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. Meetings are scheduled for November 10.

Earlier it was reported that Facebook and Twitter and WhatsApp have appealed against fines received in Russia in the total amount of 36 million rubles. Services were threatened with large sanctions for refusing to localize personal data of Russians.
