OREANDA-NEWS   The State Duma at the plenary session on Wednesday adopted a law providing, in particular, a ban on the use of foreign messengers when providing public services or performing state tasks, for the transfer of payment documents and information with personal data of Russians.

The law "On Information, Information Technologies and Protection from Information" is supplemented by the norm, according to which, when providing public services, performing state or municipal tasks, it is prohibited to use foreign messengers to transfer payment documents, provide information containing personal data of Russians, as well as data on money transfers, including information about the accounts of citizens of the Russian Federation in banks.

"It is prohibited to connect to information systems and (or) programs for electronic computers specified in part 8 of this article (foreign messengers - ed.), other information systems that provide the possibility of transferring funds of citizens of the Russian Federation within the applicable forms of non-cash payments," the law also states.
