OREANDA-NEWS  MTS Group acquired a 49% stake in Infomat LLC, which, under the Infomatika brand, produces, among other things, ticketing systems, fare control systems in public transport and turnstiles. This follows from the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The deal was made on March 7 through MTS subsidiary MTS II LLC (MTS AI, MTS Artificial Intelligence Center). Now the telecom operator owns 49% of the developer, another 51% remains with the CEO of Infomat, David Tartakovsky.

According to a press release from MTS, the integration of Infomatika's developments will make it possible to implement projects for the transport industry, sports and cultural facilities. The company has its own design office and production complex in Kazan.

MTS AI Executive Director Dmitry Markov said that VisionLabs, previously acquired by MTS, has already had successful joint projects with Infomatika over the past few years. This, as well as the "emphasis on the purchase of leading companies in their segments both in Russia and abroad" after studying complementary to the existing portfolio of assets, became a key factor in the purchase decision, the top manager noted.
