Although Windows 11 is waiting for a couple more feature updates (Moment 3 and Moment 4), Microsoft is increasingly looking in the direction of Windows 12, the next-generation Windows AI-based systems.

The official name of the new system has not yet been announced, but it is known by the codename Next Valley (according to some sources Hudson Valley). Microsoft Product Director Panos Panay explained that next-generation Windows will be a combination of cloud technologies and artificial intelligence capabilities. Microsoft is gradually moving towards this goal. As for security aspects, the company also abandons outdated components, such as Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool (MSDT) or VBScript.

It is believed that Microsoft has returned to the three-year Windows release cycle, which means that Windows 12 is expected to be released in the second half of 2024.f updating its systems.
