OREANDA-NEWS. Administration of the popular messenger Telegram filed an official complaint against American corporation Apple with the European Commission due to possible violations connected to App Store.

This was reported on July 30 by the newspaper Financial Times. The complaint says that Apple should provide users with the ability to download applications not only from App Store. The publication also notes that Vice President of the European Commission, Margrethe Vestager, mentioned two antitrust investigations of Apple’s activities. The first is related to App Store, the second to Apple Pay.

The leadership of Apple has repeatedly denied allegations of violation of antitrust legislation. CEO Tim Cook announced the readiness to protect the business reputation of the company.
