OREANDA-NEWS  Sergei Boyarsky, head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications, believes that Telegram in Russia will not be blocked until all the "correct" channels switch to the Max platform.

"We must understand that Telegram is not only a messenger, but also a social network in its essence. We have a huge number of channels with a large audience, you can call them the right channels, which, including abroad and inside our country, cover our right agenda and, of course, both forces and funds have been invested in them. And it would probably be wrong to take and, so to speak, disable the ability for people to receive news from the source they are used to. Yes, indeed, the opportunity to create channels has appeared in the Max messenger. They are growing, steadily growing. But it's still premature to say that all the channels from Telegram have already moved to Max. Therefore, let's wait at least for this moment," Boyarsky said at a press conference at the international multimedia press center of the Russia Today media group.
