OREANDA-NEWS  The shareholders of the Irish PetroNeft Resources plc., which previously produced oil in the Russian region, decided to voluntarily liquidate the company. This is reported by Interfax.

The Agency reviewed the statement of the "former international oil and gas exploration and production company concentrated in Russia" following the results of the extraordinary general meeting held on August 8.

It is specified that David Van Dessel was appointed liquidator of Petroneft, which owned several assets in the Russian Federation, including the oil production company Linarnoye (by 90 percent) and the oilfield services company Granit Construction.

The journalists also mention Stimul-T LLC, which, through Cyprus-based WorldAce Investments Ltd., is owned on a parity basis by Petroneft and Oil India, which has a license to explore and produce hydrocarbons at the Tungol site in the Tomsk region. In March, the regional arbitration court introduced a bankruptcy procedure in the company that had ceased operations.

Earlier it became known that the Russian "daughter" of the American American Express Company, American Express Bank, was liquidated based on its own statement. The organization became the first of the 45 banks, in respect of which a ban on transactions with shares and shares was established, which handed over the license instead of selling the business.
