OREANDA-NEWS Another country lowered the ceiling on Russian oil prices, followed by Japan. This is stated in the statement of the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

"Imports of crude oil originating from the Russian Federation and sold at prices above the marginal price, as well as capital transactions related to the purchase of crude oil originating from the Russian Federation and transported by sea, are subject to approval or permits," the ministry said.

The new ceiling on Russian oil prices was $47.8 per barrel. Previously, it was $60. New Zealand made the same decision.

Earlier, Indian buyers began demanding that Russian suppliers increase the discount three times or more against the background of lowering the ceiling on Russian oil prices.
