OREANDA-NEWS  Gas on the London ICE exchange fell to $ 392.7 per thousand cubic meters. This is evidenced by the bidding data.

The cost of fuel according to the TTF hub index, located in the Netherlands, dropped by 2.4 percent. October futures began trading at around $ 398.9 and rose to a maximum of $ 400.7 per thousand cubic meters. The minimum price dropped to the level of $ 390.5 (minus 2.9 percent), but later adjusted to $ 392.7.

Earlier, European Commissioner Dan Jorgensen said that the European Commission had proposed a complete ban on Russian gas imports and the EU was already exploring such a possibility. In turn, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller once again warned that Europe could freeze over without Russian gas.

Meanwhile, in July, the EU countries collectively paid 338 million euros for Russian gas supplied through the pipeline, which was the lowest amount since October 1999. Taking into account liquefied natural gas, purchases from Russia reached 995 million euros. Hungary (183 million euros) and Greece (111 million) are the leaders among all countries.
