OREANDA-NEWSBelarus and Russia this week will hold another round of negotiations on the supply of natural gas to the republic in 2020. This was announced on Tuesday by the Minister of Energy of Belarus Viktor Karankevich.

"Meetings are planned, including this week", said the head of the Ministry of Energy, noting the question of the Russian media. Karankevich said that Belarus and Russia will determine the price of natural gas for the republic for 2020 after the preparation of integration roadmaps. “We deal with road maps, prepare them. The issue of pricing for natural gas will be considered after the preparation of these road maps,” the Belarusian minister said.

At the same time, Belarus considers it possible to reduce the volume of natural gas imports from Russia in connection with the launch of the Belarusian NPP. “The volume of purchases may be lower than the volume that will be consumed this year - in the region of 20 billion cubic meters”, said the head of the Belarusian Ministry of Energy.
