OREANDA-NEWS Rosstat has stopped publishing data on oil production in the Russian Federation: this information is not available in the summary of the situation in the industry for the first quarter.

The document was published on Wednesday. The statistical office did not comment on the lack of data on oil production in the publication. In March, Rosstat reported that oil production including condensate in Russia in February 2023 decreased by 8.5% compared to January - to 42.1 million tons, and average daily production in barrels increased by 1.3% and amounted to 11.02 million barrels. In February, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that Russia would voluntarily reduce oil production by 500,000 barrels per day in March, which would contribute to the restoration of market relations. The reduction was later extended until the end of 2023.
