OREANDA-NEWS  Russia more than doubled the sales of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) to the Baltic States in 2022 — the countries of this region subsequently sell this resource, including to Ukraine, which itself refused LPG from the Russian Federation, and it is expensive to buy it from other suppliers — for example, Romania or Poland, Reuters reports with reference to sources. "Russian exporters more than doubled the sales of liquefied petroleum gases to the Baltic countries in 2022, some of which were sold to Ukraine," the agency writes.

The agency clarifies that LPG is not subject to Western sanctions imposed against Russia.
