OREANDA-NEWS  After the lifting of the export ban, Russia resumed the supply of diesel fuel to Turkey and Brazil. This is reported by Reuters with reference to data from Kpler and LSEG.

In early October, Russia lifted a ban on diesel exports, designed to solve the problem of domestic shortages due to attacks by Ukrainian drones on oil refineries. After concluding a deal with US President Donald Trump to supply fuel to world markets, at least two tankers went to once-regular customers.

The tanker Leruo, which left the Russian Baltic port of Primorsk on October 16, was bound for Manaus, Brazil. The tanker Dolunay, which left Primorsk with a cargo of diesel fuel on October 14, is heading to Alanya. According to Kpler, each of the two tankers carries 300,000 barrels of diesel fuel. It is also known that after the lifting of the export ban, Morocco began to import Russian diesel fuel.

This year, Turkey received about 34 percent of Russian diesel fuel, Brazil - 24 percent, and Morocco — 10 percent.

On October 9, Trump announced an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin on large-scale diesel supplies to the United States. He said that Russia will supply 500,000 tons in November, and "immediately after that" another million tons.

If Russia can additionally supply diesel fuel to the market and export it, it will be beneficial for American consumers, Chris Wright, head of the US Department of Energy, told CNN.
