OREANDA-NEWS Following the results of trading on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange on Tuesday, October 7, the cost of summer diesel fuel with supplies in the European part of Russia soared by 1.88 percent, to 72,669 rubles per ton. This is evidenced by the data of the site.
The last time it was sold for more on the stock exchange was more than two years ago, in September 2023, during the last fuel crisis. Gasoline Ai-92 slightly retreated from the record level reached the day before (minus 0.13 percent), to 74,105 rubles per ton, and Ai-95 rose in price to 79,810 rubles.
Stock trading in summer diesel fuel with delivery in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East stopped many days ago. Winter diesel fuel is at or approaching historical highs on all bases, and its cost is steadily increasing.
Last week, the Association of Commodity Brokers (ATB), whose members are responsible for 17 percent of demand on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange, asked Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak to sort out the supply of purchased fuel. Independent gas station networks are increasingly finding themselves in situations where they are not supplied with paid fuel, in some cases delays stretch for many months.
This problem, in particular, is observed in the Chelyabinsk region, where gasoline has already disappeared at some gas stations, while others have introduced restrictions on the sale of fuel in one hand. Representatives of one of the networks explained that "the purchased items are not being shipped due to recent events, and it is unclear when this will improve."
