OREANDA-NEWS  The Austrian court sided with Naftogaz of Ukraine, which demanded compensation for the loss of assets in Crimea, which became part of Russia in 2014. This was reported by RBC with reference to the company's press service.

According to the verdict of the court, Naftogaz of Ukraine received permission to recover Russian assets in Austria. Their cost is estimated at more than 120 million euros. In addition, the Austrian court decided to restrict Russia's rights to two dozen real estate properties located in this European country. It is assumed that in the future they will be sold at auction.

At the end of June, it became known that Naftogaz of Ukraine wants to recover $ 1.37 billion from Russian Gazprom in accordance with the decision of the international arbitration in Zurich. This amount includes both the main debt for gas transit services and penalties with compensation for legal expenses.
