OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2016. The international financial magazine Global Finance acknowledged the digital solutions offered by SEB to its private and business clients as being the best in Estonia. In Latvia, SEB earned the same nomination in the field of private clients and, in Lithuania, also in both of the categories. This is the third consecutive year in which the digital private client solutions of SEB were recognised as being the best in Estonia.

“Digital banking services are increasingly popular among our clients due to their convenience and the wide selection of services available both online and in mobile devices, which is why this award is a great acknowledgement to the developers of SEB’s online services. Consequently, more and more banking transactions are being concluded using tablets and smartphones, with the use of the mobile bank having grown 52% year-on-year, making it the fastest-growing banking channel. Taking into account the needs of clients and the increasing interest in simpler and more convenient digital solutions, we will be launching an updated mobile app already this autumn,” said Ainar Lepp?nen, Head of SEB Retail Banking and Technology Area.

This was the 17th consecutive year in which Global Finance selected the banks offering the best digital solutions. The important factors considered were the quality of the digital service; the range of services offered and the level of client engagement; direct benefits from the digital servicing of clients; the design and functionality of the online and mobile bank; and the growth of the number of clients using the digital solutions.

Global Finance names the best banks in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, North America, Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe. The overall winners for regions and the world shall be announced at the awards ceremony taking place in October, in London.
