OREANDA-NEWS  As part of the Black Sea initiative, grain from the Russian Federation will be supplied to poor African countries. Such plans were announced by the President of Turkey.

Erdogan stressed that he had an agreement on the direction of Russian food supplies with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is important to note that in Turkey grain will be processed into flour, and after that it will be sent to the African continent. "Biden thanked us for that," Erdogan added.

Earlier, the Turkish head of state confirmed the extension of the grain deal for 120 days. "Based on the decision taken by the UN, Turkey, the Russian Federation and Ukraine, the agreement on the Black Sea corridor is extended from November 19, 2022 for 120 days," he said.
