OREANDA-NEWS According to the service, in the first seven months of 2019, the cost of bread and bakery products increased by 7.7% compared to the same period in 2018. At the same time, bread from rye and rye-wheat flour has risen most in price. In June 2019, it cost 50.54 rubles per kilogram, which is 9.6% more than last June.

Experts believe that bread prices rose due to higher prices for raw materials - wheat and flour. In March of this year, the Russian Guild of Bakers and Confectioners (ROSPiK) reported that by the end of the year, prices for bread of the 1st and 2nd grades could rise by 5-6%.

In late July, the Federal State Statistics Service reported that consumer prices in Russia fell by 0.1% from July 23 to 29. This was the first case of deflation in a year. Cheaper, in particular, granulated sugar, sunflower oil, buckwheat and some types of vegetables.
