OREANDA-NEWS. There are no foreign enterprises in Russia that have announced their final withdrawal from the Russian market. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, whose words are given in the official Telegram channel of the Russian government. He clarified that to date, economic operators have suspended their activities for various reasons, including logistical problems, while there is no talk of a final withdrawal from the Russian market.

Everyone keeps their social obligations, pay salaries,” Manturov said.

Earlier it was reported that many foreign companies that announced their withdrawal or suspension of work in the Russian Federation are looking for local partners who could be entrusted with asset management until the situation on the market stabilizes. Large businesses such as tobacco companies are interested in this, in particular, in whose structure the Russian market occupies about 20%.

At the same time, negotiations are underway both on the transfer of assets under the management of local partners, and on their subsequent sale. Both Russian investors and foreign companies are showing interest in such transactions. It is possible that Western partners may sell shares or shares at a conditional price to a Russian partner or management with the possibility of their repurchase when the situation stabilizes.
