OREANDA-NEWS  In Russia, 40 percent of residents began saving a specific amount for shopping. This was reported by Izvestia with reference to Renaissance Insurance.

It turned out that 74 percent of Russians between the ages of 46 and 50 allocate the purchase amounts in advance. At the same time, 67 percent of citizens aged 18 to 25 do not monitor their spending. As for the amount of monthly shopping expenses, 32 percent of the population spend from 10 to 20 thousand rubles for these purposes. In addition, 46 percent of the expenses amount to more than 50 thousand.

The most expensive purchases were new appliances and gadgets, hobby supplies, and repair supplies.

Earlier it was reported that 56 percent of Russian residents sometimes make impulsive purchases. Only seven percent analyze their expenses. At the same time, in 2025, almost 40 percent of Russians gathered to abandon unnecessary purchases. In addition, 34 percent are reducing spending on shoes and clothing, while 27 percent expect to save on household appliances.
