OREANDA-NEWS The Clothing 3000 company, which manages Russian budget clothing stores Modis, has filed for bankruptcy with the Moscow Arbitration Court. Kommersant writes about this with reference to an entry in the file of cases dated March 13.

For the first time, its financial problems became known at the end of 2025, when Clothing 3000 announced its intention to file for bankruptcy. In February 2026, the company notified of insolvency, specifying Shanghai Newidea International Trade as a creditor of the Chinese importer. He managed to recover 569 million rubles (44 million yuan) from Modis as a result of two court proceedings.

According to Anatoly Rossolai, director of the legal service of Neo, the bankruptcy of the company is associated with too high a credit burden, and delay can only worsen the situation. Therefore, the owners decided to permanently close the business.

Evgenia Khakberdieva, Regional director of the retail real estate department at NF Group, added that Modis' problems began after the company's founder, Igor Sosin, passed away. Since then, the number of stores has tripled. Sosin's heirs have failed to find a new investor for the chain, and the demand for shoes and clothing in the country is declining.

Earlier it became known that Globaltruck, one of the largest Russian cargo carriers, faced the threat of bankruptcy due to rising debts and losses from its operations.
