OREANDA-NEWS The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region has satisfied Baltika's claim against Carlsberg - now the Russian company can, as before, legally use the beer brands Tuborg, Holsten, Kronenbourg and others, Interfax reports.

In October, Carlsberg decided to terminate licensing agreements with Baltika for the use of its brands in response to the transfer of Russian assets to the management of the Federal Property Management Agency. The Danish company assured that Baltika could use the remaining Carlsberg stocks and materials until April 1, 2024.

Carlsberg announced its withdrawal from the Russian market in March 2022. In June 2023, the concern found a buyer for its business, it became the Baltika company. At the same time, the Danish corporation did not specify the exact time frame for completing the sale of assets in the country. Against this background, in mid-July, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of shares of foreign owners in Baltika to the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency.

In December, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, said that the issue of the possible nationalization of the Baltika brewing company was subject to careful consideration. Prior to that, the head of Baltika, Taimuraz Bolloev, made a corresponding proposal to the head of the Federal Property Management Agency, Vadim Yakovenko. The letter from the president of the brewing company, in particular, stated that at present the nationalization of the concern is "the only way out of the current situation."
