OREANDA-NEWS UAVs hit the building of the Aeronavigation of the South of Russia branch in Rostov-on-Don, and the operation of 13 airports in the south of Russia was suspended, according to the Russian Ministry of Transport.

The work of the regional center in Rostov-on-Don, which manages air traffic in the south of Russia, has been temporarily adjusted due to the UAVs hitting the administrative building of the Aeronavigation of the South of Russia branch. As a result, air traffic management technologies in the south of Russia are being adjusted. The Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency are working with airlines and airports to adjust flight schedules.

The airports of Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Gelendzhik, Grozny, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Magas, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Sochi, Stavropol, and Elista have been suspended.

The staff of the Aeronautics of the South of Russia branch is safe, and the equipment is being analyzed for functionality.

The Ministry of Transport has promised to provide new information at 11 a.m. Moscow time.

Earlier, the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, said that the region was attacked by drones and missiles during the night. In the Pervomaysky district of Rostov-on-Don, a fire broke out in an administrative building due to the fall of drone debris, which was extinguished in the morning.
