OREANDA-NEWS  About 43 thousand transit cargoes with the destination Russia/Belarus are blocked in the port of Rotterdam, Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands, the country's permanent representative to the OPCW Alexander Shulgin said in an interview.

"According to available information, as of the end of 2022, about 43 thousand transit cargoes with the destination Russia/Belarus are blocked in the port of Rotterdam. The Russian Trade Mission in the Netherlands has organized work to facilitate their delivery to the final destination. In total, assistance has been provided for more than a hundred shipments," the ambassador said.

According to Shulgin, the situation with cargo transportation between Russia and the Netherlands is significantly complicated, direct flights have been stopped, trucks with Russian license plates and Russian ships entering European ports are prohibited from entering the EU.
