OREANDA-NEWS   Aeroflot, together with Rostransnadzor, are planning to revise the federal aviation regulations on the carriage of hand luggage. This was announced by the CEO of Aeroflot Sergey Alexandrovsky and the head of Rostransnadzor Viktor Basargin.

According to them, it is necessary that uniform parameters of hand luggage be prescribed in the rules, which could be used by air carriers of various business models, including low-cost airlines, for example, the Pobeda company.

"Rostransnadzor and I have the same view on the essence of solving the issue with the rules of carriage of hand luggage. Of course, we will work on making changes to the FAP, to make a single and understandable interpretation for everyone," said the CEO of Aeroflot (quoted by TASS).

After the decision of the Supreme Court in January 2023, the low-cost airline Pobeda announced plans to change the carry-on baggage allowance. The company has removed the dimensions of a handbag or backpack from the description of the rules of carriage. However, in fact, the baggage allowance remained the same: hand luggage must fit into a calibrator measuring 36x30x27 cm.
