OREANDA-NEWS The Russian automaker AvtoVAZ, which is part of the state-owned corporation Rostec, is ready to produce up to 70,000 Lada Azimut crossovers, according to the state corporation.

It is noted that almost a thousand original units and parts were created for the car, including body panels, lighting equipment, interior elements, and a new rear suspension.

Lada Azimut is a new crossover from AvtoVAZ, which the company first presented at SPIEF-2025. It is based on the Vesta platform and will be equipped with upgraded 1.6- and 1.8-liter engines with a capacity of 120 and 132 horsepower, respectively. In early April, AvtoVAZ announced that the model's mass production is scheduled to begin in September.
