OREANDA-NEWSThe capital of the Republic of Crimea and the Simferopol region will receive more than 3.3 billion rubles from the federal budget for the repair of 50 roads as part of the national project “Safe and high-quality roads” in 2019-2024, the press service of the republican government said on Tuesday.

On August 5, 2019, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev instructed to complete the conclusion of contracts for the work under the national project “Safe and High-Quality Roads” as soon as possible and to begin work. Among the lagging regions, in particular, the Republic of Crimea was named, where the lowest (5.41%) level of conclusion of contracts for the performance of work within the national project was recorded, as well as zero percent of the volume of work on laying the upper layers of the road surface.

"The planned length of the overhaul section of the road network of the Simferopol city agglomeration in the period from 2019 to 2024 will be 513.341 km. The total amount of federal support is 3 billion 312 million rubles (552 million rubles per year)", the words of the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers - Minister finance of the region of Irina Kiviko.

In addition, financing from the road fund of the Republic of Crimea is provided in the amount of 828 million rubles (138 million rubles per year). In particular, roads will be repaired on 14 streets in Simferopol and on 36 streets in 13 villages in Simferopol district.

Russian national project "Safe and high-quality roads" will cover 104 cities forming agglomerations in 83 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In particular, in the framework of the project, by 2024 (compared to 2017), the share of regional roads in the normative state should increase from 43.1% to 50.9%, half of the accident concentration sites should be eliminated, and half - up to 85% - the share of the length of urban agglomeration roads in the normative state has been increased, the share of federal and regional routes operating in the overload mode has been reduced by 10%. Over six years, funding for the national project from the regions will amount to 4 trillion 139.1 billion rubles, while the federal budget will allocate 440.9 billion rubles.
