OREANDA-NEWS  Traffic on two lanes 190-kilometer section of the new route "Tavrida" from Kerch to Simferopol will be launched in the night of 30 to 31 December. This is stated in the message distributed by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Crimea.

"From 30 to 31 December will be opened the movement of passenger and freight transportation on the first stage of construction of the route "Tavrida" - the part of the length of 190 km from Kerch to Simferopol. The traffic will be launched on two lanes of the road, one in each direction," the report said. It also specifies that three sections of the route with a total length of 4.6 km will be subject to temporary detours.

After the opening of the road section, it will be subject to a speed limit of up to 60 km/h, additional speed limits are provided in the places of exit to the road of technological transport. After putting the road into operation in December 2020, the maximum speed of the entire length of the route from Kerch to Sevastopol will be 90 km/h.

The Ministry added that there will be no new gas stations and multifunctional zones on the open section of the route, which is connected with the ongoing construction works. "Drivers should note that on the site about 70 km from the village of Battle to the city of Belogorsk to completion of the route will not be gas stations. All gas stations remain on the old road Kerch - Feodosiya - Simferopol, to them it will be possible to move out if necessary from "Tavrida", - it is told in the message.

The total length of the four-lane highway "Tavrida", which will pass through the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, will exceed 250 km.the Launch of traffic on the highway will be carried out in two stages. Commissioning of the entire route from Kerch to Sevastopol is scheduled for December 2020.
