Foreign cars began to be imported into Russia by parallel import

OREANDA-NEWS The director of the department of wholesale sales of cars of the Avilon group, Grazin Belenova, said that foreign cars of bygone brands began to be imported into Russia. Deliveries are carried out using a parallel import mechanism, Vedomosti writes.
Belenova explained that the company enters into a cooperation deal with car dealers and accepts orders from them for the import of certain models, after which it acquires them and transfers them to dealerships. Cars of such brands as Toyota, Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Kia, Audi, Volkswagen and others will be available to Russians again.
With the help of the parallel import mechanism, about 4,000 thousand cars have already been imported into the country.
Earlier, Toyota resumed the supply of spare parts to Russia for warranty repairs and maintenance. The main obstacle in this process is a serious disruption of logistics chains.
