OREANDA-NEWS Four electric river trams are undergoing mooring tests on the Neva. After passing all the necessary tests, the electric vessels will be sent to Moscow, Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport, head of the city Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, told TASS on Monday.

"Specialists have lowered four more electric vessels into the Neva water area, which will later be sent by barge to Moscow to launch the first regular river route "Fili Park - Kievsky". The new transport will be allowed to sea trials only after it receives positive ratings in all parameters," Liksutov said.

According to the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport, before the start of mooring tests, special attention is paid to the smooth operation of the steering and anchor device, the strength of the ramp for boarding passengers. Each vessel must be equipped with life-saving equipment.

Specialists check the operation of fire sensors, as well as systems for pumping water out of the hold in case of an emergency. In addition, the inspectors test the vessel for stability. Temperature control and ventilation systems are being tested on board.
